I'm thankful for the returned badges and all, don't get me wrong - for whatever reason, I like hoarding them - but there's no reason to go out of your way to thank me for them.
This has been grating my nerves for quite some years. I tend to leave llama badges to everyone who favourites or comments on my works. It's kind of my way to acknowledge people paying attention to my work without going to their profile to bother them with inane messages - I know I don't particularly like having to hide all those variations of 'thanks for the llama'. They clutter up my space.
Why do people feel the need to leave those? I don't get it. It's just a dumb, free badge - nice to have but not particularly exciting. Takes maybe five seconds of your time. And why should anyone go thanking someone else for adding their picture to their favourites? It's not like they were doing it to be nice to you, they did it because they liked the work. I only ever thank people when I answer to their comments.
I would apologise for being a bitch, but then I'm not particularly sorry. Don't take it too personally, though, since it's my personal pet peeve. For all I know, it's acceptable DA culture to leave those. I wouldn't know, I'm not too entrenched in the community.

Warning: includes boring rant about my RL
Wow, I'm supremely inactive when it comes to this journal. Well, university does generally steal one's life.
I've been drawing lately, working out the background to my would-be epic series of pics situated in a fictional bar of mine where various characters gather to drink and bitch (or harass others). There are a few examples I've posted, but I've been unhappy about the quality (especially the background) so I haven't posted any in a while. In fact, I've been thinking of redrawing some of them. Thing is, I'm way lazy about backgrounds and I kinda want to do justice to this epic bar.
Now, I'm almost done with the lineart to two default back
I was tagged! :D
Rules
1. You must post these rules (very, VERY Important )
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create ten new questions for the people you tag to answer.
3. You have to choose 8 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
4. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
5. No tag backs!
6. No crap in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this." (Urge to disobey rising...)

First entry, yaaaay!
Wow, is this really the first journal entry I've written? Guess I didn't completely get rid of my inner lurker. I used to stalk DA, for years and years and it took me considerable effort (and pushing from my friends) to get myself an account. I'm so paranoid. Not to mention lazy. It's a lethal combination!
I still have tons and tons of DA pages bookmarked, even though I could probably get rid of them by adding the artists in question. Yeah, not happening as long as I can just forget them in the dusty corners of my folder. XD
(Yo, reader, are you an ex-lurker? Do tell me your story, if your latent lurking tendencies allow. XD)
Anyway, I'm g
